Droitwich businesses are being invited to a special presentation to hear the results of a town centre survey.

Earlier in the year a survey was developed to ask those who visit or indeed don’t visit Droitwich Spa their views on the town including its retail offering.

The work was devised by People and Places, an organisation that supports town centre regeneration, and which has written the Local Government Association handbook on revitalising town centres.

In total over 200 face to face surveys were completed with the help of Droitwich High School students and the Droitwich Youth Council, and over 300 more completed online. This is the highest response rate to date on such a survey, giving robust data which can help in planning how to support town centre businesses and to improve the visitor experience.

Cllr. Charlie Homer, Chairman of the Wychavon Town Regeneration Panel said:  “We’re thrilled that so many people have taken the time to complete this survey either face to face with the support of Droitwich High or online. We credit the students support and social media for getting us this excellent response rate and I’m looking forward to seeing what positive benefit the feedback can bring us.”

Town Centre businesses are all welcome to attend the presentation of the survey information on 2 October – 6pm at St Andrews House Hotel. Those planning to attend the event need to RSVP by e-mailing chris.brooks@wychavon.gov.uk or calling 01386 565343.
