For those of us who have had the pleasure of enjoying the delights of the Lido Park over recent weeks you will no doubt have noticed the fantastic tennis courts.

child jumping The courts have been resurfaced so that everyone can enjoy them. The community group that successfully fundraised to enable the improvements to take place are now running tennis sessions for people to enjoy.

One of the campaign fundraisers, Neil Bates, said: “We organise the community tennis sessions down at the Lido Park each Saturday and this is proving very successful. To add to this and give even more people the chance to play we would be interested to hear from any visually impaired individuals who would like to give tennis a try (adult or junior).”

Neil went on to say that they have already had some interest from people who are visually impaired and they would like to get sessions up and running in the next few weeks.

“We have the specialised equipment needed to run these sessions so please drop us a line if you would like to know more,” said Neil.
